Alwan's Bookstore and Loose Ends : These pictures were taken in several locations. First there is a set from my class's visit to our Professor's bookstore. Following that are various shots that I hadn't yet posted (see captions for descriptions).

People Snapshots and More : Since getting my new camera I haven't had a chance to go out and shoot as I would like. As such I've only been able to do some informal portraits (spur of the moment) and two functions. These below are just about all at ISO 800-3200 so you can also see these as an indication of how the camera performs in low light. Most were taken in challenging lighting as well so I've been getting better at color correction. Enjoy.

People Snapshots and More

Loose Ends : These are some black and whites from around my house taken in December 2007. Camera was the EOS 30D, lenses were the EF 35mm f/1.4L and the EF 100mm f/2.8 macro both of which are great lenses in my opinion, I reccommend them. RAW conversion from DPP, editing in CS3 (mostly just a black and white conversion).

Fall 2007 : This semester has been the busiest for me at Tufts, academically and otherwise, and I haven't had many chances to do photography. However, this semester is the first time I've tried HDR (high dynamic range) photography and it's also the first time I've shot film in some time. Enjoy.

Cameras: EOS 30D, EOS 3 with Neopan 1600
Lenses: EF 35mm f/1.4L, EF 17-40mm f/4L
Post-Processing: Canon DPP 3.0x, PS CS3

Red Lights : These shots are the really just the result of me playing around with 1-3s exposures and so the results may be "love it" or "hate it." The edits here are actually rather minimal, most looked like this coming out of the RAW conversion in DPP 3.0 (with slight color tone shifts, but most are in the "Neutral" picture style and desaturated). A little bit of levels in CS3 but again, not much work done overall. EOS 30D and the EF 35mm f/1.4L. Enjoy.

EOS 3 Trial Run : NOTE: These photos will be re-uploaded when I fix the dust-removal feature on my film scanner. These are my first few shots from my EOS 3 film camera using Agfa APX 100 and Kodak TMaxx 400 B&W print films. I believe the lens for each was the EF 17-40mm f/4L. The locations are my house, Great Falls in VA, and Centennial Park in MD. Take a look.
